About Daniel & Maurilia
Salvation testimony of Daniel Navarrete
When I was 20 years old in February of 2012, a lady from Hermosillo Baptist Church invited me to visit her church, after going for about a month, I lost my patience because the pastor, pastor Montano was preaching about eternal security which I didn’t believe because of my Pentecostal background.
I decided to have a meeting with him to teach him why he was wrong. Pastor Montano taught me for about 3 hours how we can be one hundred percent sure about our eternal salvation. That day I returned to my house and I knelt down by my bed and I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior, in May 27 of 2012 I got baptized by my pastor Luis Montano in the Hermosillo Baptist Church.
Testimony of my call to ministry and missions service.
In May 18 of 2013 God called me to surrender my life to His full timeservice, using a preaching in my church by pastor Ed Bordell, God used the this portion of the bible ...
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
John 21:17
Since I was studying a career it was difficult to me to talk with my parents about the decision of leaving my career to be a pastor, but God was clear and he was asking me to obey Him, in July of 2015 I went to study in San Luis Potosi with pastor Luis Ramos, in the first day of March of 2016 brother Bill Patterson preached in a chapel about surrender your life to missions and the translation of the Bible, and God called me to do so, during that sermon I was crying repeating to God “whatever it takes”.
Starting the year 2019 my wife and I began to pray for the place that God wanted us to do our ministry, we started with the country of Mexico, state by state, researching as much information as possible of each one and asking the Lord if He wanted us there, when we prayed for the state of Sonora where we are originally from, we started city by city until the Lord called our attention to the city of San Luis Rio Colorado.
From there we wanted to return to our church in Hermosillo to plan a mission trip, and so it was.
We were getting to know the city among the people, praying to the Lord that He would confirm that this was the city that He had for us, leaving there and talking with my wife on the road I informed her that the Lord wanted us in that city, and my wife had the same mind, from that moment our deputation began.

I had the privilege to lead brother Daniel to Jesus Christ here in Hermosillo Baptist Church when he was 20 years old. He is a faithful soul winner and a godly man that has a heart for God. Maurilia was my secretary for about 4 years and has proven herself as a godly woman. Both of these fine servants have faithfully served the Lord and now they are giving their lives to serve the Lord on the mission field.

I was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, since I was a child I met Baptist Christianity, but I was not saved until I was fourteen years old guided by a young student of Bible school who spent knocking on doors April 14, 2007.
At this age I began, together with my family, attended the First Baptist Church of Hermosillo, which belongs to the convention, and was baptized there at the age of fifteen. I began a secular career in Hermosillo, Sonora and in the middle of my career the Lord through an anniversary conference in my church, calls me to serve Him full time.
I left my secular career and in 2013 I enrolled in the Sonora Baptist Institute, led by Pastor John Pérez. I finished four years of study in the Christian Education career.
I married my husband Daniel Navarrete on October 27, 2017, we were living in the city of San Luis Potosí, SLP. For two years while he was studying his Pastoral Theology career.
After nine months of marriage we learned that we were expecting a baby and in April 2019 our baby Daniel Fernando was born and in October of 2020 Joel was born. Also this time we were praying for the direction of the Lord and His will to know the place where He wanted us to surrender our lives. He led us to the city of San Luis Río Colorado and it is our desire and prayer that souls would be guided to His feet.
